The purpose of this relay is to allow our harness and LED lights to be powered by a 24V circuit. Why a 24V relay? If you use a 12V relay with a 24V circuit, the coil can fail or the relay's contacts to the switch can burn to where they would no longer make contact. It's important to use a relay in the first place because lightbars draw a lot of current. If you wire an LED light directly to your switch, you might overload the switch and the wiring, causing it to melt or catch fire. A relay can handle high currents safely and efficiently, reducing the risk of electrical problems.
This product comes with a universal mounting tab that can be used to mount to our Relay holders.
