LED Light Bars for Cars and Trucks

There are two parts components to look at in a light bar install:

1. Mounting: Figuring out where and how to mount your light bar is typically the biggest consideration. If you are comfortable drilling holes into your vehicle this can be pretty simple. If you are not comfortable drilling holes into your vehicle, there are a lot of custom brackets in the market that will fit your specific vehicle type and can be screwed into existing locations on your vehicle. Another common option would be to utilize bumpers or roof racks specific to your vehicle that provide specific install locations for your light bar.
2. Electrical: Connecting your light bar to your vehicle can be pretty simple. In fact, all of our products come with waterproof snap connectors that can connect to a relay. The relay provides the connection to the battery and the switching to turn the light bar on. Generally the biggest consideration here is how you want to turn your light bar on. A few common options for this would be to utilize a switch in the cabin of the vehicle, a wireless remote (with or without a switch in the cabin) or connect into an existing switch such as your existing headlights/tail lights

1. Clear - general protection to the stock lights lense.
2. Amber - warning/emergency lights and/or fog/snow lamps.
3. Red/Green/Blue - security/medical/emergency vehicles and hunting.
4. Black - completely black out the light if local regulations require or you want a stealthy look.

Extreme LED uses both Cree and Osram leds depending on the light bar configuration

A curved light bar generally has a curved or arched lens shape, which allows a wider and more even spread of light. This may be beneficial in off-road driving or other applications where a wider field of view is preferred. The curved shape of the lens can also help reduce glare and increase visibility in bad weather. On the other hand, a flat light bar usually has a flat or straight lens, which can deliver a more focused beam of light. This can be helpful in applications where precision lighting is required, such as in construction, mining, or search and rescue operations.

When it comes to deciding whether a LED light bar is worth it, consider these factors:

1. Brightness: Known for their brightness, making them ideal for off-road driving or low visibility areas.
2. Energy Efficiency: Highly energy-efficient compared to traditional lighting sources.
3. Durability: Typically more durable than traditional light sources, making them suitable for rough terrain and inclement weather.
